Jim Nemunaitis was the number one wrestler in the OAC last week thanks to a major decision against Cleveland State
For the second year in a row, John Carroll junior Jim Nemunaitis was selected as an Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week following a victory over Cleveland State.
This time around, Nemunaitis was rewarded for his efforts against the Division I Vikings, sounding JCU's arrival with with a major decision victory at 197, producing three near falls in the third period to defeat Jeff Schuller, 14-3.
Nemunaitis was also recognized back on Dec. 1, 2008, when he dominated a Viking wrestler to the tune of a 15-3 major decision. He was one of three JCU wrestlers to earn the honor in 2008-2009, joining Clarence Semple (Jan. 2009) and Dan Mizener (Feb. 2009).
