Bryan Steinmetz is the first Blue Streak in almost one full calendar year to earn OAC Wrestler of the Week accolades

Bryan Steinmetz used a major decision against a Division I opponent to vault him to a first career Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week honor.
Steinmetz used five takedowns Tuesday to produce a 13-4 major decision victory over Nick Anthony in the 184-pound bout against Cleveland State held at the DeCarlo Varsity Center. At the time, Steinmetz helped pull John Carroll to within 9-7 on the team scoreboard. CSU would win the final six matches, however, to pull away for a 30-7 win.
In recording one of the Blue Streaks' two wins of the dual meet, Steinmetz moved to 3-1 on the year.
Steinmetz is the first JCU wrestler to earn this award since James Nemunaitis back on November 30, 2009.
