The first weekend of competition marking the commencement of the 2010-2011 academic year at John Carroll features men's golf at home, while volleyball, women's soccer, cross country, and football will travel away for competition.

Men's Golf

Not too far from home is men's golf, hosting the JCU Fall Invitational all day Sunday at Fowler's Mill Golf Course in Chesterland, Ohio.  Results for the 27-hole event will be posted on jcusports.com as soon as they are available.  For a tournament preview, click here

Volleyball

Fresh off a sweep of Notre Dame College in the season opener, the volleyball team will travel to Delaware, taking on Ohio Wesleyan (3-27 in '09, 0-1 in '10), Adrian College (6-21 in '09), and Grove City College (8-24 in '09) at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational.  For a complete tournament schedule, click here

Women's Soccer

The women's soccer team hopes to get into the win column when the Streaks compete Saturday and Sunday at the Rachel Miller Classic in Rochester, New York.  The team will face The Rochester Institute of Technology (0-0) and either Keene State (1-0) or Cortland State (0-1) in game two. Follow JCU in the tournament by clicking here

Cross Country

The men's and women's cross country teams will kick their seasons off relatively close to University Heights. A few miles east is Hunting Valley, Ohio, where the Case Reserve Bill Sudeck Invitational takes place.  Last year the women's team finished third out of eight teams, and the men's team finished fifth out of six teams.

Race action gets underway at 11:00 am, and results will be posted on jcusports.com as soon as they are available.

Football
