On the first team were a pair of pitchers and a representative from both sides of the Blue Streak infield.

Senior Patrick O'Brien, who led the conference with a 1.35 overall earned run average, was a first team selection.  He compiled a 4-1 record in 10 appearances, allowing just seven earned runs in 46.2 innings pitched on his way to winning OAC Pitcher of the Week twice in 2013.

Andrew Doring, a sophomore hurler, earned his first career OAC Pitcher of the Week award this season, and can now add first team All-Conference to his career highlights.  In 11 appearances, Doring went 5-0 with a 2.50 ERA.  He struck out a team-best 54 batters, and pitched a three-hit gem for JCU in a 3-0 victory over Ohio Northern to close out the regular season.

Mitchell Herringshaw and Jimmy Spagna proved invaluable to the John Carroll lineup this season, and were rewarded with a spot on the OAC's first team.  At third base, Herringshaw made a number of dazzling plays, and his work in the batter's box was perhaps even more impressive.  He finished with an even .400 batting average to lead the squad, adding 20 doubles, two home runs, and 38 RBI to pick up his second straight first team accredidation.  He was tabbed OAC Hitter of the Week for his performance during the week of March 24-31.

Spagna followed up a 2012 second team All-League selection with a spot on the first team this season after proving to be the Blue Streaks' best power hitter.  The junior first basemen hit .352 and socked seven home runs, eight doubles, and three triples.  Spagna led the team in long-balls and RBI (48) despite only playing in 30 of JCU's 41 games.  He netted one OAC Hitter of the Week award in 2013.

Representing the Blue & Gold on the second team were Bobby Sabatino, Mark Huddle, and Aaron Lapaglia.

Sabatino showed great improvement across the board in his second year as a starting second baseman.  The sophomore had a hand in 18 double plays in the field, and batted .333 in the second spot in the lineup.  His on-base percentage was .390, and he stole 11 bases without getting caught.

Completing the award-winning infield was Mark Huddle, the JCU shortstop.  Huddle hit .299 with 46 hits, 12 doubles, and 20 RBI while anchoring the middle of the infield.  He will be back in 2014 and figures to be a team leader.

The lone Blue Streak freshman on the list was Aaron Lapaglia, who led the pitching staff in wins with eight to go with a 2.52 ERA in 13 appearances.  Whether a starter or reliever, Lapaglia kept opposing offenses in check throughout the year.

Earning honorable mention All-Conference was senior outfielder Connor Marrero, who slugged his way to a career-best .336 average in 2013.

The Blue Streaks finished second in the OAC with a 13-5 regular season conference mark.
