In a game featuring a 65-minute weather delay, Baldwin-Wallace put John Carroll into a 24-point hole and did not allow the Blue Streaks to crawl back out. Brandon Hedges scored three touchdowns, including one on a 53-yard run, to help the Yellow Jackets build a 24-0 through three quarters. Freshman quarterback Rudy Kirbus entered the game at the end of the third quarter and produced John Carroll's only points -- a 22-yard touchdown pass to Joseph Konrad on a fourth-and-11 play. JCU actually outgained B-W, 250-227, and had 19 first downs to the Yellow Jackets ten. The key was Baldwin-Wallace limiting John Carroll to minus-21 yards rushing on the night.
