On Wednesday, Melaragno was the only JCU player named to the 2008 AFCA Division III All-America Team.  In November, Melaragno closed out a successful four-year career with the Blue Streaks, having 231 career tackles and 14 interceptions on the gridiron. During the 2008 season alone, he had 59 tackles and five interceptions, which tied for the OAC lead. His other honors this year included being named the OAC's Most Outstanding Defensive Back, First Team All-OAC, and All-Region.
