In 1998, Taylor earned NABC first team All-Great Lakes District as well as Columbus Multimedia All-Great Lakes Region honorable mention.

At the time of graduation Taylor possesed the second best single season rebound total in school history (257 in 1997-98) and third best career total (678). He shared the team Co-MVP honors on the 1998 “Elite Eight” team with Mark Heidorf, who was inducted into the JCU Hall of Fame last year.
