Dan Coxon was instrumental in helping John Carroll reach the NCAA Tournament in all four years that he played, including Elite Eight appearances in 1998 and 1999.
A three-year letterwinner and two-year starter, Coxon appeared in 89 games and started 50. In those 89 games, JCU forged a record of 65-21.
The program's all-time leader in career free throw percentage (.868), Coxon ranked 13th in Division III in free throw percentage as a senior. He scored a career-best 493 points as that year, finishing with 885 for his career
Named all-Great Lakes Region as a senior , Coxon was second team All-OAC as a senior and honorable mention All-OAc as a junior. He also earned a place on the 1999 OAC All-Tournament Team.
