Inducted in 1979, John Parsons was the first John Carroll wrestler to be enshrined.

He set the school record for most dual meet wins in a career with 42 at the time of his graduation. He was a two-time PAC champ at 160 lbs, a team captain in '68-69 season, and finished his career with 52 wins. During the '68-69 season he led the team to be undefeated in duals (10-0).
