Iglesias, who attended JCU from Costa Rica, was honored as a first team All-PAC selection in 1977 and 1979. A four-year starter as a defender and midfielder, the team had a 9-2 record his senior year en route to winning the 1979 PAC Championship. The Blue Streaks allowed just six goals all season, and scored 22.

Iglesias, called "easily one of the most skilled players ever to play at JCU," by teammate and former Hall of Famer, O'Callahan, scored three goals as a senior from his defender position.
