Marty Joseph was a two-time All-American wrestler, including a second place finish at 142 pounds at the 1984 NCAAs. He had a career record of 44-12-1, including 23-3-1 as a senior. He was a two-time PAC champion. He won the National Catholic Invitational crown as a senior.
Joseph won dual matches against Slippery Rock, Stanford and Sacramento State. He is only one of 24 wrestlers at JCU to post an undefeated dual meet season (8-0-1) in 1983-84.
Joseph scored 15 points in his soccer career on four goals and seven assists. He was the Blue Streaks team captain as a senior. He was an honorable mention for the All-PAC selection in 1982
