Tom Plunkett was one of the finest golfers on John Carroll's championship teams during the late 1960's.
Plunkett was a key in the Blue Streaks three PAC titles (1967-1969) and in all three of those years, Plunkett earned all-conference honors. In 1968, Plunkett received PAC medalist honors by carding the lowest score in the conference tournament championship. Plunkett also helped John Carroll place third in 1967 and fourth in 1969.
During his final three seasons, he was named the Robert Revello Award as the teams Most Outstanding Golfer three times and in that span of time John Carroll was 34-1 in dual meets.
