Shannon McConville is one of three athletes to be inducted from the class of 2005. Her national honors include 2005 Outdoor Track and Field All-American in 5000-meter run, 2004 Cross Country All-American, 2004 Outdoor Track and Field All-American in 5000-meter run, and 2003 Cross Country All-American.
 
McConville earned an impressive seven letters between the cross country and track and field programs at John Carroll.
 
Her legacy as a Blue Streak athlete will carry on as she was the first women's NCAA Cross Country national qualifier in school history, she was the school's first cross country All-American, and she broke six school records in both 2005 seasons.
 
This two-sport athlete was also the 2004 Great Lakes Runner of the Year, 2004 All-Ohio Individual Title holder, and the 2004 and 2005 All-Ohio outdoor champion in the 5000 meter run.
