Tim Barrett Was named an A.P. Little School All-American during his season year in 1974. He led NCAA Division III in rushing during the 1974 season with 1409 yards in the season. Barrett also was first-team All-PAC choice from 1972 to 1974.
In his final game as a season, Barrett broke open a 70-yard touchdown run in the first quater against Oberlin College. Barrett ended the game by setting a new John Carroll record at the time of his graduation with 246 rushing yards on 46 carriers.
Barrett was also one of only three members of the John Carroll football team to have his number (#41) retired and was named to the John Carroll "The Modern Era" team from 1971-1994.
