At the time of his graduation, he was the all-time leading rusher in both school and Ohio Athletic Conference history with 4,397 yards. His 4,332 regular season rushing yards landed him 8th all time in all of Division III football when his career concluded.
Beers earned All-OAC first selection three times during his career in which he helped the Blue Streaks attain the OAC title in 1989. Along with that, Beers helped lead the team to qualify for the NCAA Division III Championship.
