Although football and basketball are in the off-season, the John Carroll University cheerleaders, dance team and Lobo are staying busy with a cheerleading clinic on March 29 and tryouts for all three spirit squads on April 5.
First up are the JCU Cheerleaders, who will be hosting a Community Cheer Clinic at the DeCarlo Varsity Center on Sunday, March 29.
The program will begin at 11:00 am with registration and warm up, and will include age and skill appropriate groups for cheerleaders in grades K-12. The instruction will include simple partner stunting, motions, spirit and dance. Light lunch will be provided.
Family and friends are invited to return at 3:30 pm for a program that features the participants and the JCU Varsity Cheerleaders.
The JCU Community Cheer Clinic is being offered through the support and partnerships with Varsity Spirit Apparell, Nordstom's, Whole Foods, Sam's Club, JCU SIFE and the Cleveland Cavalier Girls.
The price for the clinic is $25 per cheerleader and $15 per additional sibling.
