O'Donnell, a senior, earned his first Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week recognition after an outstanding performance against OAC opponent Muskingum College last Wednesday. In a complete game shutout, O'Donnell limited the Fighting Muskies to just six hits, all of them singles, during ten innings of pitching. JCU went on to win, 1-0.
O'Donnell stands at 4-1, with a 2.40 ERA. Currently, this is one of the best ERAs in the OAC. He has recorded 25 strikeouts so far this season.
