The mission of John Carroll University’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to represent the student-athlete community with integrity, pride, service and leadership as well provide a line of communication between the athletes and administration. We will be advocates for the well-being of our student-athletes and actively work with the administration to enhance the student-athlete experience by voicing issues and concerns and through organizing community service activities, recommending policies to be implemented, and promoting a positive student-athlete image on campus.
The purpose of the SAAC is as follows:
• Improve communication between student-athletes and Athletic Department, faculty, and coaching staffs
• Enhance interaction and support between teams
• Address issues and concerns of student-athletes
• Provide a voice for student-athletes in considering proposed laws and regulations in OAC and NCAA
• Organize community service opportunities
• Promote the student-athlete image on campus and within the community
