Thank you for your interest in John Carroll University and in our NCAA Division III athletic programs. Our athletic programs are highly competitive and selective, and we are very proud of our student-athletes, both athletically and academically. Even though NCAA Division III athletics focuses on participation and the experience of the student-athlete, resource and roster constraints dictate how many athletes can participate.
Although there are no athletic scholarships offered at the NCAA Division III level, our coaches do actively recruit student-athletes for their programs. However, because resources are limited at our level, coaches cannot proactively contact everyone so they are open to student-athletes initiating the process. To do so, please follow these steps:
1. Â Submit the Prospective Student-Athlete Interest Form for your particular sport(s) found below. It is important to fill out the entire form. Please note that this form is NOT considered an application for admission to the university nor does it qualify you as an official athletic recruit.
2. Â The student athlete should email the coach AND any assistant coaches listed expressing interest in the program and letting the coaches know you have submitted the Prospective Student-Athlete Interest Form. If possible, send some information that may give the coach an idea as to your level of play (links to video clips, times, etc.).
3. Â It is highly recommended that your current high school or club coach contact our coach to provide a recommendation/reference.Upon receiving the Prospective Student-Athlete Interest Form, your email, and your coach's recommendation, a coach will evaluate the information provided and contact the student-athlete if the coach would like to officially add you to their recruit list and set up a recruiting visit.
Thank you for your interest in John Carroll University!
