The Department of Athletics at John Carroll University is a relationship-driven organization that strives to guide and support our student-athletes. Our goal is to help every young person reach their highest potential in the classroom, in competition, and in preparation for life beyond JCU. We are developing men and women for tomorrow and Blue Streaks forever.

This Website is a resource for all individuals interested in NCAA Compliance policies and John Carroll University Athletics. We strive as a Jesuit community, to ensure that our student-athletes, coaches, administrators and those representing the institution’s athletics interests respect the guidelines set forth by the NCAA and the Ohio Athletic Conference. The key is to “Ask Before You Act;” All questions should be directed to the Deputy Director of Athletics or the Athletic Director.

NCAA DIII Compliance

Division III Compliance Statement
Division III expects its members to operate their athletics programs with integrity and in a welcoming manner that complies with conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Institutional control is a fundamental principle that supports the educational mission of a college or university and assumes presidential involvement and oversight.

Division III considers it a best practice to have a compliance coordinator whose primary responsibility is the oversight of the institution’s compliance system, the coordination of the institution’s rules education and the monitoring of rules compliance.

Division III also encourages compliance to have a teamwork approach in which all members of the athletics department and other personnel across campus who are associated with athletics conduct the program with the highest levels of integrity and fairness.
