Junior Emma Atkins has been accoladed with the title of JCU's Athlete of the Week for her strong performance during the swim meet against crosstown rival Baldwin-Wallace.


Atkinson swam a strong final two legs in the breast and free in a come-from-behind win in the 200 IM (2:22.27). When the final race began, Baldwin-Wallace already had a strong lead over the Blue Streaks.However, Atkinson  solid third leg delivery,swimming a 26.16 split to give Donoghue the lead heading into the anchor swim was enough to end the meet with a Blue Streak victory.

Atkins played a key role in the Streaks victory over the Yellow Jackets, producing a final score of 120.5-116.5.
