Adams earned the award of Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week by scoring John Carroll's only points in a 34-3 loss to Division I Cleveland State. Adams defeated Benny Balough in the 184-pount bout, using three takedowns, two of which came in the first round. Since the start of the season, Adams is now 2-0 after following the end of his football season, where the junior served as a linebacker for the Blue Streaks.
