With John Carroll placing sixth overall at the RIT Invitational, it is no surprise that Adam Pizzurro is awarded athlete of the week. Pizzurro was the runner up at the 133 weight class leading the way individually for John Carroll. Throughout the tournament, Pizzurro gave up a single point in his first three wins which included a pin in his quarterfinal match. Pizzurro reached the championship match for the second consecutive year and in his four career RIT tournaments has a first, second, and fifth place finish.
