JCU senior linebacker, Mitch Krotz, was part of a tenacious effort by the Blue Streak defense as they faced the No. 23 ranked Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets. In holding the host team to 183 yards of total offense Saturday night in Berea, Krotz and the Blue Streaks captured the Cuyahoga Gold Bowl for the first time since 2010 with a 27-7 victory. Krotz was a standout with 15 tackles, 3.5 for loss, and won the Lee Tressel Shriner Classic Player of the Game award. After a great defensive performance Saturday, John Carroll advanced in the ranks and took over the No. 1 spot for total defense in Division III.
