Junior 149-pounder Dan Mirman became John Carroll's first Willson Invitational champion in five years as he went 5-0 as the #3 seed. He pulled off two upsets, picking off #2 seed Elroy Perkin of UW-Whitewater (3-1) in the semifinals before stunning top seeded Gage Pederson of Olivet, 5-3, in the sudden victory overtime.
