Was a big part of John Carroll's run through the OAC Men's Basketball Tournament. Seeded fifth, JCU picked off #8 Otterbein, #4 Ohio Northern and #1 Mount Union to reach the title game for the seventh time in program history. Although JCU fell by a 69-63 count to Wilmington, Linane had a game-high 18 points and four assists for the Blue Streaks. he scored six of John Carroll's final seven points as the Blue Streaks and Quakers were tied going into the final 30 seconds of the contest.
