When John Carroll University tuned-up a great performance at the Mount Union Invitational Saturday it boosted not only their confidence but some great performances. Freshman Michelle Grossman placed first in the 1000-meter run with a season-best mark of 3:10.14. Pushing forwards to the OAC championships, Grossman also contributed to the 4 x 400 Relay win with teammates Katie Winings, Rachel Widman, and Alynn Martin. The team won the relay in a time of 4:20.66 -- a full four seconds ahead of runner-up Penn State-Behrend.
