Terner Gott captured his third tournament title of the season, winning four matches to capture the 165-pound weight class at the 2014 Citrus Open in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Gott's run through his brcket helped John Carroll finish fourth in the 12-team field. Gott won two of his matches by major decision and one by fall to reach the final. He defeated Timothy Garripoli of Williams, 9-6, to claim the crown and improve to 22-0 on the season. His semifinal win -- a 12-3 major decision over Nick Hendershot of Mount Union -- gave him 100 victories for his career. Only five other wrestlers in JCU history (Joe Schmidt, Mark Hawald, Tom Bennett, Justin Kerr, and Mike Collica) have reached the century mark.
