The senior led the charge for the Blue Streaks at the Youngstown State Indoor Invite on Friday night. O'Brien finished fifth out of 46 runners in the 5000-meter run. The Cuyahoga Falls native broke the previous record with a time of 14:58.75, besting the previous mark of 15:09 set by Will Rial in 2014. O'Brien was the lone Division III competitor to finish the event in less than 15 minutes.
