Nick Siciliano earned his 70th career win this past week in a crucial victory over Dominic Polifrone (6-4, 4-6, 10-3) of Baldwin Wallace in fourth singles. The junior also won his other singles match of the week in the third singles event over Tyler Flickinger (6-0, 6-2) of Heidelberg. On the season, John Carroll is a perfect 7-0 in the conference to earn the number one seed in the postseason tournament.
Not only was Siciliano able to win both of his singles matches, but he also teamed with sophomore Tyler Cole to win the third doubles event in consecutive matches. The duo registered an 8-0 win over Paul Claymier and Kyle Simpson of Heidelberg and an 8-3 win over Kevin Fredrick and Matt Harris of Baldwin Wallace.
Siciliano has been an integral part of JCU's team throughout the year, especially during the recent hot streak in which the team has won eight of it last nine matches dating back to March 20. Head coach Sean Keenan will look Siciliano's way for consistent production in both singles and doubles for the remaining portion of the spring campaign.
