Senior midfielder Jake Lombardo scored the game-winning goal in the first overtime period of JCU's win over Ohio Northern this past Saturday night.
The deciding goal in the 93rd minute pushed JCU to a 12-1-1 record for the season, giving the Blue Streaks their best mark through 14 games since 2001. Lombardo has 20 career goals and played in his 70th career game this past Saturday night.
Lombardo and the Blue Streaks have a full slate planed for the upcoming week, taking on conference-best Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio this Tuesday, Oct. 17, before traveling back to the Columbus, Ohio area on Saturday, Oct. 21, to battle Capital University.
