The Senior from Amherst, New York lead the way for the Blue Streaks who went 2-1 last week extending their record to 10-4 on the season. Year over year he has done much better at the plate especially since becoming an everyday player in 2017, but this year he is off on a complete tear. He currently sits with a .432 average and is a terror on the base paths already with six steals. In the last week against Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Transylvania he went a combined 8-12 and was 3-3 on steal attempts. He is a huge piece on a team that already has 179 hits (12.9 per game) and has scored 134 runs (9.6 per game). Congratulations, Derek!
