Dropped five games all week as John Carroll nearly upset second-place Mount Union (5-4 loss) and pounded Wilmington (7-2) to go 1-1 for the week. Steward, who is now 70-17 in his career (singles and doubles combined), improved to 7-2 in singles play this season and 5-4 in doubles. In singles play, defeated Zach Perry of Mount Union (11-5 at the time) by a 6-1 6-1 score, then pasted Joe Freudenberg of Wilmington by a 6-0 6-0 count.
