Gingrich became the hero of the game when he powered his way into the end zone with 2:21 remaining in the fourth quarter to break a 17-17 tie against Wilmington College on Saturday. He also gave JCU some insurance, scoring another touchdown less than two minutes later to make the final score 31-17. These were his first two touchdowns of the season.
