Chris Lamphier enters his ninth season on the John Carroll coaching staff during the 2023-24 school year. Chris works with the men and women pole vaulters.
Under his direction, Caroline Beery has set the indoor and outdoor school pole vault records (Indoor: 11'5.75" in 2022; Outdoor: 11' 9.25" in 2023).
Prior to his time at John Carroll, Lamphier coached at Painesville (OH) Riverside High School for two seasons where he mentored two regional qualifying athletes.
Lamphier was a NCAA DII student-athlete at Lake Erie College, where he graduated with a degree in Sports Management.
