Frank Ross enters his second full season as a member of the JCU staff after graduating from John Carroll in 2010.

After a two-year tour with the the New England Patriots of the National Football League, Ross returns to his alma mater to tutor the quarterbacks.

Under Ross' watch junior Mark Myers re-wrote the JCU passing record book in 2013. Myers set single-season JCU records for passing yards (3,228), completions (246) and attempts (385). Additionally, Myers opened the season with a school-record 526 yards against St. Norbert.

Ross spent the spring of 2011 as the wide receivers intern before accepting a scouting assistant position with the New England Patriots. He spent the 2011 and 2012 football seasons with the Patriots' Personnel Department aiding their search of both college and free agent NFL players.

Ross had the opportunity to work with the coaching staff on a regular basis including film breakdown, operational projects, and on-field practices. He worked under current Director of Player Personnel and JCU alumnus Nick Caserio.

As a player at John Carroll, Ross was a two time captain and four-year starter letterwinner at wide receiver. He was a three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer earning first team honors in 2009 and second team honors in 2008 & 2010.

Ross finished with a school record 206 receptions in his career.

Following his Blue Streak career, Ross was chosen to represent John Carroll in the Ohio National Guard’s North vs. South Senior Bowl and also the Tazon de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) in Mexico City, Mexico where he was selected captain and game MVP.

Born and raised in the Youngstown (OH) area, Ross graduated from Canfield High School in 2006 and was the quarterback of the 2005 state runner-up team.
