Nicole Loudin

Nicole Loudin enters her ninth season as the head coach of the softball program at John Carroll University in the 2021-22 school year.

Loudin was hired on August 12, 2013. In her first eight seasons, she has accumulated a 120-145 record, including a 60-82 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference play. The Blue Streaks have amassed a record of 43-47 at Bracken Field under Loudin.

2021
10-26, 10-24 OAC
Season an OAC-only schedule due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The Blue Streaks battled through a season dominated by the pandemic. Highlights included a 3-game winning streak in late April. Gracie Bressoud and Crista Nativio earned Second Team All-OAC honors. Bressoud, Katie DeBord, Madison Eagle, Syndey Hall, Kristen Jesberger, Lauren Sienkiewicz, and Maddie Traub earned Academic All-OAC honors. 

2020

Season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019
14-24, 4-14 OAC
The Blue Streaks had a 5 game winning streak in the middle of their season. Senior Lindsay McNight earned a spot on the NFCA All-Region Team. Quinn Sobieszczanski, Kristen Jesberger and McKnight earned All-OAC honors.

2018
15-18, 8-10 OAC
John Carroll won eight conference match ups for the second consecutive season. One player was selected to the NFCA All-Region team along with three student-athletes earning All-OAC awards. Ten players earned a place on the NFCA Scholar Athlete team. Team GPA:  3.39.

2017
18-20, 8-10 OAC
John Carroll had a seven-game winning streak, and won 5-of-6 OAC games during the middle of the season. The Blue and Gold won eight conference games. The Blue Streaks capped off the season with a road victory. One player garnered NFCA All-Region status, while nine earned Academic All-OAC honors. She also coached three athletes to All-OAC status.  

2016
17-17, 9-9 OAC
The Blue Streaks concluded the campaign with three consecutive victories, two of which came against Marietta. JCU won four of their last six games at Bracken Field. 11 athletes earned NFCA Scholar-Athlete Status, with five reaching Academic All-OAC honors. She mentored three players to All-OAC status. Team GPA: 3.40.

2015
22-17, 11-7 OAC
JCU advanced to the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament. The Blue Streaks recorded an 8-4 record at home. Carly Simecek and Alyssa Coleman were named to the NFCA All-Central Region team. Five student-athletes reached All-OAC status. Three players were named Academic-All OAC and six players were recognized as NFCA Scholar-Athletes. Team GPA: 3.26.

2014
19-18, 10-8 OAC
John Carroll advanced to the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament, winning their first game on May 2. The Blue Streaks maintained an 8-6 record at home. JCU recorded four winning streaks of three or more. JCU snapped Trine's 30-game unbeaten streak on Apr. 21 at Bracken Field. Four players were recognized as All-OAC. Four student athletes earned Academic All-OAC honors and seven were named NFCA Scholar-Athletes. Team GPA: 3.22.

Personal
A native of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, Loudin went to Elyria Catholic High School and graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from Baldwin-Wallace, and an M.S. from Ithaca College. Loudin was inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019.  She lives in University Heights with her wife, Casey Graham, and daughters Alexandra Ryan Graham-Loudin, who was welcomed into the world on November 25, 2017 and Mackenzie Reese Graham-Loudin who was born on May 30, 2020.
