The defending league champion Ohio Northern Polar Bears won all 13 events to hand John Carroll its first conference loss in a swimming & diving dual meet staged Saturday in Ada, Ohio.
The Blue Streaks did not have an individual swimmer or relay team finisih higher than third in any event as ONU rolled to a 187.5-50.5 victory. Only in diving could the Streaks crack the top two.
David Essi had a pair of runner-up finishes, scoring 207.65 points to finish second in 1-meter diving and 200.45 points to finish second in 3-meter diving.
