Four second half goals by John Carroll turned a close game into a rout as the Blue Streaks upended host Muskingum for a 5-0 victory this afternoon in an Ohio Athletic Conference match played in New Concord, Ohio.

The victory marked John Carroll's first conference win of the year, and head coach Tracy Blasius' 99th as the Blue Streaks' mentor.

Cara Pizzurro started the ball rolling literally when she connected on her second goal of the 2007 season at the 17:49 mark. The goal snapped a stretch of over 300 scoreless minutes of play for the Blue Streaks dating back to September 22.

Despite having a 10-4 edge in shots, the Blue Streaks led by just a 1-0 count at the half.

That would change dramatically in the second half. Lauren Wilson would score at the 55:21 mark to increase the lead to 2-0. Then, just 23 seconds later, Caitlyn Walton lofted a corner kick that Natty Naso struck into the goal for a 3-0 advantage.

Ashley Frakes scored her first goal as a Blue Streak off a Val Korb corner kick in the 64th minute, while Elizabeth Daigler capped the scoring in the 75th minute.

John Carroll is now 5-6-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the OAC following Saturday's win.
