John Carroll one day hopes to have the kind of volleyball revival that Heidelberg is currently experiencing. A former cellar-dweller, the 'Berg showed just how far they have come by remaining undefeated in league play with a 30-21, 30-19, 30-17 victory over the visiting Blue Streaks Tuesday night in Tiffin, Ohio.
The 'Berg simply proved to much at the net for John Carroll, as the hosts nearly doubled the Blue Streaks' kills total (53-27) and had ten more team blocks (14-4).
Meagan Gambone had a team-high nine kills for John Carroll, while Meredith McDiarmid tallied a team-best 22 assists and 11 digs.
The loss drops John Caroll to 10-13 overall and 1-3 in the OAC, while first place Heidelberg moves up to 20-5 overall and 5-0 in league play.
