John Carroll freshman Kristen Kidd was more than just "alright" on Tuesday night in Berea, as her team-leading 16 kills paced a Blue Streak offense the overwhelmed the host team in a 25-22, 26-24, 14-25, 25-16 win.
Kidd, who also led John Carroll with 21 digs, had career-high totals in both categories as the Blue Streaks won for the 13th time in 20 matches thus far in 2008. The 13 victories are one more than JCU posted all of last year.
Laura Isbell and MaryEileen Dalton each had 10 kills, while Kidd and Meredith McDiarmid combined for 41 digs.
This was the Blue Streaks first win over their crosstown rivals since October 12, 2004.
John Carroll is now 13-7 overall and 1-1 in the OAC. Baldwin-Wallace falls to 8-12 and 0-4.
