Women's Tennis Fires On All Cylinders In Win At Muskingum

Against Muskingum, Kate Lawson won for the first time since February

Saturday was a good day for the John Carroll women's tennis team. Not only did the Blue Streaks officially lock down on a spot in the upcoming Ohio Athletic Conference tournament, but they also posted their first shutout win on the road this season.

The Blue Streaks blanked Muskingum by a 9-0 score in New Concord, running their winning streaks to three matches in a row, and their record to 8-10 overall and 4-4 in the OAC.

All three doubles tandems won by identical 8-0 scores.

In singles play, Amy Marchlen at #2 and Julie Britten at #4 both won by 6-0 6-0 scores. Kate Lawson won her first match since February 26 when she defeated Amanda Chema, 6-2 7-6 (7-5).
