With just five players able to make the trip, John Carroll won the seven matches contested to produce a 7-2 victory over Marietta College Saturday afternoon in Marietta, Ohio.
The victory was the Blue Streaks' first in five matches this season.
James Steward and Jeff Copp were impressive in an 8-0 win at #1 doubles, while Michael Finissi and Matt Tomayko were equally in control of an 8-1 triumph at #2 doubles.
In singles action, both Steward and Tomayko won by 6-0 6-0 scores at the #1 and #2 spots, respectively. Finissi, Ross Venzke and Copp also won in straight sets in their singles matches.
John Carroll is now 1-4 overall and 1-2 in the OAC, while Marietta falls to 1-6 overall and 0-5 in league action.
