Looking to end the regular season on a high note, the John Carroll women's soccer team instead settled for something more in the middle of the scale.
The host Blue Streaks traded blows with Capital -- 35 to be exact -- over 110 minutes to no avail, as the game between the two teams tied for third place in the Ohio Athletic Conference ended in a scoreless tie.
Box Score
It took two overtime periods to decide that neither team would give an inch as the Blue Streaks defended their home turf and subsequently, will aim to do so this Monday for the first round of the OAC tournament. Both teams registered seven shots on goal, none of which managed to tilt the scales.
Senior keeper
Molly Gradowski, in her final career regular season home match, was credited with seven saves to post her seventh shutout of the season and the 15th of her career.
The OAC will finalize the playoff seeding tonight. Check back with JCUSports.com for further information.
