The John Carroll wrestling team, still stung by the injury bug, surrendered two forfeits and struggled to get going early Tuesday night, dropping an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet, 37-9, at Heidelberg.

After four matches, the Blue Streaks found themselves down 22-0 on account of two technical falls, one pinfall, and a forfeit.
Sophomore
Terner Gott provided some temporary reprieve in the 157-pound weight class, pinning Heidelberg's Aaron Banko in 3:36. His win drew the Blue & Gold within 22-6, but the Student Princes ground out the next two matches to end any hopes of a comeback.

John Connick took Damon Cheek to the wire before dropping a 4-2 decision at 165. Immediately after, JCU's
Vinny Jiovenetta lost by the slimmest of margins (4-3) at 174.
Senior 184-pounder
Bryan Steinmetz gave the Streaks their second and final win of the night with a 9-4 decision.
John Carroll will return to the mat this weekend at the Pete Willson Invitational, hosted by Wheaton College. The tournament begins Friday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m.
