Rachael Libertin produced key victories to keep the Streaks in the fight.
With a time of 11.13.75 in the 1000 Freestyle, Libertin won the race by almost a full five seconds. Her 2:19.73 finish in the 200 Butterfly was also good for a first place showing.
"She's trained (hard) all year long," said head coach
Mark Fino. "She's worked so diligently and just has a good head on her shoulders. It was good to see her have some break through swims for the season. I think today she started to realize her potential of what she can do and that's something we've been talking about all year.
Also showing off her talents in the meet was junior Tori Watson, who clinched a pair of victories. Watson finished the 200 Freestyle in 1:59.43 and finished the 100 Freestyle in 55.74 seconds.
Samantha Clark also picked up points for the Blue Streaks with wins in 1- and 3-meter diving.
In the final event of the afternoon, JCU claimed a victory in the 200 Free Relay. The quartet of

Lindsay Eddingfield,
Ann Murphy and
Katii Sheffield won the race in 1:45.73.
With the loss, John Carroll fell to 3-5 overall on the season.
