The Blue Streaks knocked off previously undefeated Drexel this past weekend with a sweep of the road series 1-0 and 5-1. The Streaks were lead by Junior Goaltender
Matt Russell who was excellent in net, stopping all but one shot over the two games. Friday's 1-0 victory marked Russell's first shut out as a Streak. Sophomore
Kevin Vinyard netted the game winner with 3:30 remaining in the game, with a breakaway pass from Junior
Greg Makozy.
On Saturday JCU started strong and built a 2-0 lead in the first period, with Russell strong in net once again. Makozy started the scoring with a Power Goal at the 17 minute mark. The Streaks added a second goal in the final minute of the period with Junior
Tyler Potts walking off the wall. JCU added two more Power Play goals from Vinyard and Senior
Parker Phillips, as well as an even strength goal from Freshman
