The John Carroll University women's lacrosse team was the former as the Blue Streaks fell to unbeaten Mount Union 18-5 on Wednesday evening in Alliance, Ohio. The win secured the regular season title and the No. 1 seed in next week's OAC Tournament for the Purple Raiders.

Mount Union built a 9-0 lead before
Grace Curatolo found the back of the net putting John Carroll on the board with 4:58 remaining in the first half. Curatolo would go on to score two second-half goals to finish with the hat trick.

Gina Vilsack netted JCU's other two goals on the night. The freshman scored the first goal by either team in the second half just 1:27 into the stanza.

Kaley LaForce finished with a team-best four ground balls while
Chelsea Jackson added a team-best three caused turnovers.

John Carroll did finish with a season-low 10 turnovers.

Mount Union improved to 15-0, 5-0 OAC while John Carroll fell to 9-4, 3-2 OAC.

John Carroll closes out the regular season at Muskingum. Opening draw from New Concord, Ohio is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday. John Carroll has officially clinched a spot in next week's OAC Tournament.
