It was a solid 90-minute effort that netted John Carroll a 3-0 victory over Hiram Saturday night in a non-conference match-up at Don Shula Stadium.
From the starting whistle, the Blue Streaks kept the pressure on and never let up in improving to 4-2-1 on the year.
Now with a 26-2-3 record at home over its last 31 matches, the Blue Streaks were dominant again in fromt of many of the program's former players on Alumni Night.
The first strike came off the foot of
Shaq Bridges, who successfully converted a penalty kick at the 26 minute mark for his first goal since October 23, 2013.
Just before the end of the half,
Jesse Marinaro scored his second goal of the year when he struck a pass from
Karol Boryka that found its target in the top right corner. That goal came with less than three minutes to play in the opening period.
For good measure,
Dalton Browsky scored his team-leading fifth goal of the year off a feed from
Jimmy Mattina as he got behidn the Hiram defense and beat the keeper from short range.
Liam McIntosh had to make just one save for his first collegiate shutout.
Hiram fell to 3-2-2 with the loss in the 40th meeting between the two teams.
