Two non-conference wins by the John Carroll men's lacrosse team has led to recognition from the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Carl Roman has been named OAC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in JCU's back-to-back wins last week.
The sophomore stopped six shots in a 16-7 win over Saint Vincent College on Wednesday. Roman then turned away five shots and surrendered just five goals in a 10-5 victory over Elmhurst College on Saturday. The two starts were the first of the Akron native's JCU career.Â
In his three appearances this season, Roman has a 5.75 goals against average and a .639 save percentage.  Â
A Blue Streak has received an OAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week award seven times in the program's three-year history.Â
